Hello, I'm Marione

I am a software engineer based in Quezon City, Philippines. I grew up in a city 140 kilometers south of Manila. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems w/ Specialization in Interactive Multimedia from Ateneo De Manila University - almost by accident. I almost changed course and become a doctor.

I love being early at airports and eating ramen in Japan. When I'm not travelling, I watch anime, listen to K-Pop and play games - both the tabletop and the digital ones. I love to look to the past through history and seek the future. Another pastime is reading science articles on Wikipedia during spa days.

Work

I'm a software developer with almost 10 years of experience. I started as a Java developer, then transitioned to web development and briefly into mobile development. I returned to web development mostly focused on implementing features and creating great, accessible user experiences through React - which I learned in 2015, while still developing features in Java.

I was also a scrum master for a short time alongside being a developer. I was a feature lead for multiple big features and was a primary point person, developer and devops for the last professional role as a mobile developer.
